A few weeks ago, I decided that once the first 12 weeks of working out and eating healthier were done, I’d stop weighing and measuring myself every week. I felt like I was focusing more on the numbers than I should have. So I now check once every two weeks. [I didn’t post about my last update because I’ve been busy.] I will eventually spread it out to every three weeks, then every four weeks. I want to get my focus more on how I feel, how I look, and how my workouts are for me.
My workouts have been a lot tougher lately, too. I’ve cut out cardio almost completely [but only for the time being] and I’m focusing on lifting weights. I’m also being more smart about my weightlifting and what muscle groups I train and on what days. I’ve been reaching a lot of new personal bests over the last week or two. It’s exciting! I’ve been pushing myself so hard in the gym and it’s paying off.
In the last two weeks, here’s what I’ve done numbers-wise:
WEIGHT: -1 pound
It’s really not much, but I’m still proud of what I did. What I’m most proud of from the last two weeks is that I’ve lost 1% body fat. [I’ve lost 3% body fat in the last six weeks. That’s quite exciting to me!] And I’m really proud of the new personal bests I’ve achieved.
There are five weeks left in this year and I’m going to make them my bitch. I’m going to give it all I’ve got every single day I walk in the gym. I’m going to continue to work toward my goal. And my goal is to get into the best shape of my life and eventually compete. Yes, compete. But more on that some other time.
